this one is for Man
and i'm taking back what belongs to me
polaroids of classrooms unattended
these relics of remembrence are just like shipwrecks
only they're gone faster
than the smell after it rains
last night while everyone was sleepin
i tripped through my old neighborhood
and resurrected memories from ashes
....
i found a map to buried treasure
and even if we come home empty handed
we'll still have our stories
of battle scars, pirate ships and wounded hearts,
broken bones, and all the best of friendships
and when this hourglass has filtered out
its final grain of sand
i raise my glass to the memories we had
this is my wish
this is my wish
im takin back
im takin them all back

Hey remember the time you were at my house working on the totem pole, and you had to use the hallway telephone to call your mom to see if you could come with me to see the Passion at Calvary Temple?
Or the time we played basketball in the street with no hoop and then did truth or dare and you had to dance to Tearin up my Heart.
How about the time we came to visit CCHS and I ripped my pants on the ghetto desk?
How about the time we were walking through the mall and I said, "wow that guy has nice sneakers" and it turned out to be Mr. Big Trainer Man in front of Victoria's Secret.
On and on...
